As part of our Information Operations (IO) campaign we present contract signings, ground breakings, and ribbon cuttings of PRT projects to the Afghan people. This proves to them that we are initiating and following through with projects in support of their infrastructure. In the picture here, I am signing a contract for the repair and digging of new water wells in a nearby village. We do not have a JAG (Judge Advocate General . . . lawyer) on the PRT so I get to play that role as one of my collateral duties. I get to draft statements of work (SOWs) and contracts. I always make certain that every contract ends with a catch all "Termination for Convenience of the US Government" clause. I hope I cover all of my bases. The expression on my face clearly shows I know what is going on. Oh by the way, it is Flat Top February; thus, my current hairdo. Standby for Mustache March.

Hm, I'll have to check out where I can get some cheap Air Jordans. I've been wondering. Anyway, your contract signer looks about as confident in your work as you do. Was he supposed to be making that worried face? Just remember April is "Coming home for Audrey" April. It is my birthday, too, and I would like my handsome husband looking normal. Love you!
Hi Drew, So, Flat top February, huh? It's a look! However, I agree with your wife and am voting for absolutely average looking April! It will be interesting to see a photo of the mustache though. Here's a very important reminder....Tuesday is Fastnacht Day! Don't forget to eat a donut at least.
Love and miss you, Mom
PS- I misspelled Fastnacht in the first post, hence the delete.
Hi Drew Bear,
I hope this goes through- always a computer problem with me- ( it might just be me!). It's always very interesting what you're doing over there. I'm going to send you the photo that we thought was you. April will be here before you know it! Mom's party went great- we'll send you some pictures- Donna was the official photographer.
Take Care,
Mamma Bear
Hi Andrew. I had a flat top haircut in the 7th grade (1962), I think when Mike Ditka was playing football, but you look much better. When America digs wells for our friends in Afghanistan, do they include water purifiers? Do all your contracts include a monetary estimate with a cap or does Uncle Sam pay whatever they say on the PRT projects? Why did this village frame the sophisticated engineering drawing of a bridge on the back wall? Love, Dad.
Funny you noticed that bridge in the background, Dad. That is what a contractor drew on the board in my office. It was his plan for a by-pass to the bridge that was blown up. Prices have gone up for projects in the past year due to security. There isn't really a cap but prices are more based on the competitive bidding between contractors.
