Contractor's Conference

My engineering team and I recently organized a conference at the Governor's compound. Local contractors attended to learn about projects available for proposal in the Ghazni province. My engineering team consists of one Seabee Senior Chief and two civilians from the Army Corps of Engineers. I'll post a picture of them in the future. Some good aspects of the conference were that we engaged the Afghans to present the specific project details to the 30+ contractors who attended. Again, we're essentially trying to work ourselves out of a job here. We ultimately want the Afghans to take everything over 100%. In addition, I even had the Ghazni Governor, Dr. Usmani, open the conference, proving its importance. Now we're pretty good pals. NBD (No Big Deal). He's pictured above. The other picture is me with SGT Acosta, who was my personal body guard that day. He's a good guy from LA who works at a detention center for gang members as his civilian job. You know he's legit.
