For all of my followers out there, you may recall a post I had several months ago regarding a contractors' conference. Since then these conferences that offer projects for bid to contractors have gotten much more elaborate. The last conference we held in Ghazni had 63 contractors in attendance. This process offers a fair and transparent bidding process to the contractors. The picture you're looking at is me reviewing bid proposals from our last conference. I'm inventorying the proposals with the Ghazni government engineer and my new Army Corps of Engineers rep, Mark. The PRT and the Afghan government collaborate to select a winning contractor for each project. Again, we're attempting to work ourselves out of a job and ultimately turn this process over to the Afghan government. For those wondering, the mustache in this picture is at day 15. Have I passed your 16 year old students yet, Audrey?

Yes, a sixteen-year-old with a stache like that would be scary. Not that yours is any less so. Nice work- are you winning?
Love, Aud
Not sure you want to here this, but you're looking more like Dad with that mustache!
Stay safe.
We love you.
